Hi Keri!
Thanks for asking! I did hear from Dr. Ludlam this week via email and he has asked me to call him next week. I am planning to do that as I now have the copies of the most recent stimulation test results that I felt was necessary to have when my husband & I chat with him. In the meantime, I am also trying to work up some short questions, but primarily have my blood work levels available when I talk with him so when he asks me about any of that I will have it at my fingertips. I certainly don't want to waste his time and am so thankful he will be open to talking with us!! I have had another headache again today, which has become almost daily now. I am trying to keep a journal now of those and a description of how I feel. My head and ear pressure still seems to be persisting as well.
I did compose a letter and called my endocrinologist's office and asked to speak with his nurse. I told her I thanked them for having gotten back to us with the result of the stimulation test but was confused since it was our understanding back in November that the doctor wanted to order a full work up of my blood (which I did and I have copies of.) That it was our understanding that the doctor had wanted me to get the stimulation test done, look at the blood work levels and that we had agreed for him to look at my MRI's then that he had never seen. (I had to leave them at Mayo Clinic before I had the deviated septum surgery.) I told her no doctor had even shown me the empty sella syndrome on the MRI and I and my husband would really like for him to show us. She suggested that we bring those in and have him review them and then if he thought it was necessary they would call us and schedule an appointment. I had prepared a letter to the doctor with a few questions and requested an appointment so my husband took that to the doctor's office yesterday and it was given to the doctor's staff. I plan to call Monday afternoon to make sure the doctor was given the letter and the MRI's for review. So I am also hopeful that this doctor will take more interest but I'm not counting on it. If I have to we will get my MRI's back and send all of them to Dr. Ludlam for his review before I plan a trip unless Dr. Ludlam feels I should go up sooner.
Definitely keep me posted about your trip and the outcome. I really want to know the latest. My prayers and good luck to you!
Marty
