Paul,
Thanks for your response. I am taking 15 mg of Cortef before breakfast. That is it unless I get stressed and feel I need more. Last few days I have been taking 20mg. My Endo said it does not matter when I take it. He said it lasts just so long and that is it. I agree, I need a new Endo. He is older and came out of retirement to work part time. I think he is not up to date on some things. I am 65 years old. Taking Synthroid .88. I was on that long before the Pituitary tumor was discovered. My Pituitary does not function at all after surgery. Too much damage so I am told. I was VERY VERY active., a young 65 before the surgery. I have never been more than 50 percent of my old self since the surgery in October 2002. I had a Pituitary Adenoma. I was told it was size of walnut. My vision was affected and I have gained 30 pounds. I was slim all my life but now I cannot control the weight. Tell me about yourself. It really does help me to understand this. I wish you well and I appreciate your sharing with me about the Predisone issue. What do you think about GH? My Endo does not think it is helpful.
