I beleive prednisone is longer lasting- I'm currently on it and it seems to last for the whole day- it is just about wearing off by morning. However, the reason for the hydrocortison instead is becaasusse long term prednisone use is dangerous & causes bone loss and organ destruction.   IF your doctor won't adjust your intake of Hydro so that you are feeling better and if he thinks nothing is wrong- then YES get another doctor. But try to tell him that this is serious and that you are definately crashing hard- try to get him to take you serious. Life is too short to have ot feel this icky if there is a way not to. Don't let that Doc tell you nothing is wrong. insist that something is wrong if you can. View other groups in this category.
