Dear Lindab,
Glad everything
went well. Sounds like you had great doctors and staff taking care of
you. What are trumpets? Is that the packing? I had 9 feet, yes
9 feet, as I am sure some of you can relate, of gauze packed into my little
bitty head!! I worried for 2 days about having it removed, but it did not
hurt. Not near as bad as the worrying!

I had my surgery in Little Rock at UAMS by Dr. Ali Fadl
Krisht. He is excellent! I went to the admissions at
(9:00 am on Wed. april 27th and they took me right in and got me
prepped and then the radiologist came in. They let all my
kids and grandkids come into the little room to see me before I
went to surgery. Dr. Krisht came in and talked to me and
then the anethesiologist started the medication and they started
rolling me to operating room around 10:00am. I told Dr.
Krisht I had prayed for God to guide his hands and I was going
to be alright, he smiled and the next thing I remembered was
seeing the clock reading 2:45 and thinking, I can tell
time! THey took me to my room and I did have a
catheter. I had trumpets in my nose and I asked my son if
I looked like Lector Hannibal and he laughed and said did I mean
Hannibal Lector. I was still goofy from the
anesthesia. THey checked me every 30 minutes for DI and
only Tylenol for pain. It felt like I had a sinus
infection. THe next morning a resident Dr. came in
and took out the trumpets, it did not hurt. About 11:30 am
I went to Luby's to eat with my kids and then the 3 hr. drive
home. I have felt so good. I am so happy and I think
Dr. Krisht is one of the best in the country.
