I do not know where you live in Washinton but the University of Washington in Seattle seems to have some resources. See the URL below. I concur that paying out of pocket for a second opinion would be worthwhile if you can afford it. Sometimes the HMOs will bow to the experts if there is a difference of opinion. Ask the radiologist how they plan to protect the tips of the temporal lobes (memory) if the plan is for conventional radiation. My endocrinologist indicated that this can be a significant issue.
