Hi M, I wanted to add that I was diagnosed with insulin resistance with the 3 hour glucose tolerance test (they just wanted to make me suffer for another hour-I don't think it matters how many hours they draw). I am considered pre-diabetic. I am starting to get the darkening of the skin. I was only offered a glucophage trial as a treatment, which made me very ill. I don't know how AN is treated-they probably have to treat the underlying cause which could be IR. Take care. Meri |
