Hello I have not posted here in a while, I have been very busy in the past few months due to my mothers death and my father being in the hospital. About a year ago I posted I believe on this website about the fact that I was having periodic dizzy spells. It would basically come out of nowhere and hit me and can last anywhere from 5 to ten minutes. At the time I went to see my endocrinologist to see if it could have been a result of of anything pituitary related and he took a couple of blood tests and he said that basically it was not pituitary related. So my next step was for me to see my neurosurgeon as I also have an archnoid cyst on my pituitary gland. I actually never got to see him only speak with him and he told me over the phone that it should not be related to my cyst and or my shunts. Then they had me see a cardiologist and he did some tests and had me where a monitor for a coupple of months and they said that it probably was not related to my heart. Then I saw my endo and he said that if everything else is ruled out that it is probably the result of anxiety attack. I pretty much blew that off as I seriously doubt that I am having anxiety attacks. I think that it is in some way related to my blood sugar and as such have started to test my blood sugar levels but they fall with in norm. There are periods when I do not eat for hours such as with work. But then there are also periods where I will get dizzy after eating. I am at a loss to explain it. My personal belief is that it is some form of low blood sugar. I think that my blood sugar is fairly low to begin with and so when I do not eat it goes lower an I am getting dizzy. But the endocrinologist said that people do not tend to get dizzy until blood sugar levels fall below 50. But what if your blood sugar levels are low already. I don't know any help would be appreciated. Thanks Kevin. P.S. Sorry for the long post.
