Bromo Concerns

I am a 28 y/o male, just diagnosed with a 1.3 cm macro, causing low T and prolactin around 220. I suspect I have had this for 5 years or more. AFter reading sites like these, I was hoping my Endo would prescribe Cabergoline (Dostinex), but he insists on Bromo (Parlodel). I have been taking it for 4 days -no nausea, just extremely fatigued.

While researching, I learned of some pretty severe side effect associated with Bromo, including stroke and MI. In fact, it looks like the FDA withdrew approval for certain uses because of these concerns.

How common are these severe side effects? Is Bromo safe to take over long periods of time? Why do some docs still prescribe Bromo over Cabergoline, even though Cabergoline is easier to take?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris.
