Dear Chris:
I do not know about these two specific drugs. What I can tell you is that
they have to list every symptom that occurs during a trial. Even if someone has
a heart attack it is listed-:) That is why you see commercials with the side
effects of a Sinus Infection from a nasal spray-:) My endo tells me all the time
that these things are so rare not to worry when I bring up possible side
effects. Off label uses are hard to get approved. For example they shot down a
female patch for testosterone and those of us that have been low and taken it
will tell you we want it-:)
Talk to your doctor about your concerns. I am sure s/he will reassure on
the reasons for picking this medication over another. Sometimes what it comes
down to is the doc has had better experiences with one over the other. Just
remember next time you see and allergy pill commercial, you can laugh because
you cannot get the Flu from a commercial, just the virus!!!
