Hey everyone,
I was diagnosed with a pit tumor about 10 yrs. ago, had the surgery, which resulted in diabetes insipidous.  The tumor grew back almost immediatley. My prolactin was extremely high, so they put me on Dostinex, which shrunk the tumor and made my prolactin normal. However, I still have the tumor.  I have been experienceing chronic muscle pain for about two years. I thought maybe it was fibromyalgia, doctors say no, and all my MRI's and Xrays show nothing. Is there a connection with the tumor? I have read some things that indicate that could be it.
I just recently had my labs done, and they show I'm extremely low in the growth hormone.  I am scheduled for the Insulin tolerance test next month. I would like any info anyone has on the effects of low growth hormones. I thought I was doing well until this round of labwork.  Also, has anyone had the gamma knife radiation done?  Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you
