Cat Did you read Janel's post? Her Primary doctor, which leads me to believe that she has ins., will not refer her to an Endocrinologist. She states that she will just go by what he says for now. At her age I had been in Menopause and Osteoporosis for 2.5yrs. And the tumor caused permanent vision loss. Janel wrote as though she did not see an urgency in being treated for the tumor. I went back to work two weeks after surgery cleaning dr offices and private homes, which was not the type of work that I had done. I was indigent when I was diagnosed and did not pay for the surgery. 10 mos after surgery I went to work where I got medical insurance. That was 23 yrs ago. So last year I finally had to stop working to care full time for my 93 yr old mother. So I neither have a job nor insurance. So some of us have to go through the county hospitals and pay out of pocket. I have never declared bankruptcy or filed for disability, but I've paid into it. Most insurance have plan doctors and hospitals. If one goes out of the plan they get little or no coverage. But insurances have and cover Endocrinologist. And I whole-heartedly disagree......everyone has a choice. Its kinda like whether you see the cup half full or half empty. We all have choices. |
