Excessive growth hormone gives you a disorder called acromegaly - this can actually be fatal if not treated secondary to cardiac involvement. Prior to my diagnosis I had swelling in my face and severe arthritis in my joints. I felt generally ill and was extremely tired. All I could think about was sleeping. A simple blood test for IGF-1 will indicate whether you have excessive growth hormone.
