----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: ð_§hêxï_êmz_ð Message 5 in Discussion Hi, I have also been offered Quinagolide in view of the recent findings regarding heart valve damage and dostinex. Dostinex and Bromocriptine are both made in the same way and are called ergot derived drugs. Quinagolide is made differently and is a non ergot derived drug so I am going to try this as it does not appear to give the side effects of Bromo and hopefully does not have the potential to affect the heart in the same way as Dostinex. I am a bit cynical about long term medication and worry about other effects on the body but my consultant seems to think that I am doing more damage to my body by not having periods. I can only go with his advice I suppose and have decide that Quinagolide is the best drug in the circumstances.
