----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: MinnieChat Message 7 in Discussion Tina - a few years ago, Cedars posted their remission results for Cushings (using Dr. S's surgeon's data) at 50% with the totally endonasal endoscopic approach. I can probably find the article. For Cushings, his results were disappointing compared with other surgeons (79 to 92%). Really, honestly, it is better for a cushings patient to do like Dr. Post once told one of our members...don't even consider a surgeon who does less than 50 surgeries a year. I would further add, since cushings tumors tend to be so small...seek out s patient surgeon who has time to keep you in the operating room longer to look around and see where the bugger is hiding. For example... surgery day is 2-3 patients and not more. Speaking of small...I talked with one lady who had her tumor removed from Dr. Weiss, and her tumor was the size of a pepper grain.
