There are moments when I just want to walk away and never look back but they are fleeting moments and I am sure he feels the same about me when I have one of my little snit fits. That's the price we pay for being human I guess. But I do try to live by the rule of never making decisions in haste. Always sleep on it and see how you feel later. That's what I try to do and have pounded into Bill's head as well. So far it's worked for us for about 17 years. I dare say none of us in a moment of frustration or weakness have never thought for a second "What have I gotten myself into?" Fortunately love smashed that down it a short amount of time. With Bill's Bipolar Disorder he has had some bad spells where he's had to be hospitalized where he's totally not himself and it feels like he's been taken from me and I am alone. Those moments have made me realize how much I love the man in spite of the illness. Luckily he does everything humanly possible to take care of himself to avoid those moments. I've told him over and over that if he does what he can to take care of himself (take his meds, ect) then I will stand by him thru whatever comes.
