Thanks, Alan. > http://cr.opensolaris.org/~alanc/X-distro-import/
In some places you're dropping usr/openwin (and subdirs) and in some places you're excluding them. Is there a rationale behind which is which? Typically "exclude" is used when a pathname needs not to be imported from the svr4 package because it's going to be reintroduced by some other package (either svr4 or ips). Doing the "drop" will eliminate the path entirely, though if you end up publishing the packages in just the right order, you can get away with it. Seems like you'd want to drop everything below usr/openwin, and exclude usr/openwin every time you see it, except for the one place you introduce it as a link. I could be wrong, of course. solaris.py is a piece of magic that seems to have taken on a life of its own. :) Other than that, a cursory examination doesn't reveal anything that an import wouldn't. Someone needs to test this before it goes back, though.
