I tried doing an image-update on my system, and it failed because it was
confused by there being packages installed on my system that weren't in any
catalog (cyber had elimiated some entries, primarily), which reminded me
that I completely forgot to put support for that in. So that's what this
change does.
However, image-update is still busted on my system, because now it runs
headlong into the multi-authority bug, and it tries to upgrade SUNWman
twice, crashing when it tries to remove the "installed" file the second
time. So Bart and I are going to coordinate today to get this fixed ASAP.
I'll note that even on current gate bits image-update on my system is
busted, in a way that doesn't look like a multi-auth problem.
Surprisingly, the unevaluated imageplan has a list of about two dozen
packages, rather than everything that's installed (which is what I'd
expect), and then it crashes saying it was unable to find dependencies of
entire and slim_install. Pkg list is unable to find them, too, though my
new code does just fine. That makes me think there's something I've
screwed up in my system's metadata, but it all looks okay -- the catalog
files certainly show the packages which pkg claims aren't there.
So there's more investigating to do.
Thanks,
Danek
