I put in some time to learn IPS lately and I finally appreciate the goal of dumping package scripting and replace it with "action". A change that systematically performed by pkg system to add/delete user/group type of package actions in a package. But IPS is going toward a HPMS direction. Why not look at TWW HPMS ? Why re-invent the wheel ? TWW's HPMS tools are in GNU license.
