I think the postinstall is an issue, but it should probably be a separate
bug.  There are other ON packages that still use postinstall scripts as well.

The package in question is for a device driver, not an application or service.
When it is installed for the first time, there are some entries in the ACPI
device table that need to be updated so that it can attach correctly. Are there examples of other driver packages that have to do something similar in IPS?
