Danek didn't say or imply that this was the solution. The "For now" and
"not what we intend to have in the end" were pretty strong hints and that.
In this sort of edge case, the "for now" solution usually ends up being "the
solution" a year or three down the road as well, since there will probably
always be higher priorities.
How would you like to see it resolved (other than a postinstall script)?
You guys should do it right the first time.
I dont care what specific mechanisms you use; that's not important.
What IS important, is that "doing it right" in this case, means that any 3rd
party driver can accomplish the same thing as a sun packaged driver.
