After some initial banter with Seth and dmick and the other x86 platform guys, we deferred anything to do with the master file, not knowing how much of it could be obsoleted for OpenSolaris, and how much we should make available through the driver action (or some other mechanism). For now, we're overriding the base master file with the one that you get by installing all packages (i.e., we're essentially pre-running the postinstall scripts that modify it), and installing that. Your change should be picked up through our process, even if it's not what we intend to have in the end. The devlink.tab modifications are done through the driver action.
