Okay.  I guess folks using nautilus or something aren't likely to have much

Okay.  In which case you'll want to state clearly that these instructions
only apply to OpenSolaris.

Because your first suggestion is that they set up their clients to point
to their depot as an origin, in which case it's not being used as a mirror.
If you have the word "mirror" in the description merely because it *can* be
used as a mirror, then I would argue that the same applies to the /dev
repo, and that seems silly to me.
