And, I don't think this is in the current GUI, but I can see wanting
to add "Don't ask me this again" checkbox option at the bottom of the
appropriate confirm dialogs which toggle this Preference(s).

would it make sense to change the labels in the preferences dialog to
not specify "Install/Update"?
