Yes, if the package metadata was correct then things would be fine.
wrt the virtualbox services, today nothing will update those packages,
so those entries can stay. but please file a d.o.o bug on the
virtualbox packaging so we can get this fixed.
So it sounds like I should just remove this functionality.
As I said, I carried this forward from our SVr4 code where
it seemed to be a bigger deal, so I'm fine with pulling it out.
i don't feel strongly about ripping it out vs leaving it in. to me it
seems like a resonable mechanism to workaround broken packaging that's
beyond our control. (since in the future we may want to include 3rd
part services here, etc.) that said, if we deliver the packages then we
should fix them.
