Hi,

I've looking for a code review for the changes for the following bugs:

  6186 OpenSolaris package renaming
  http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=6186

  3393 inconsistent python package naming
  http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=3393

Webrev is at:

  http://cr.opensolaris.org/~richb/pkg-6186-v1

There is also a file:

  http://cr.opensolaris.org/~richb/pkg-6186-v1/rename_diffs.txt

that is similar to gate.patch, but makes it much easier to see exactly
what's changed.

Some of the recent attachments to bug #6186 will give an overview of
the new package name changes:

Latest package names sorted by new name:
  http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/attachment.cgi?id=3621

Latest package names by sorted classification:
  http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/attachment.cgi?id=3622

Latest package names by sorted old name:
  http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/attachment.cgi?id=3623

  Latest package name hierarchy:
  http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/attachment.cgi?id=3624

Some notes:

* As has been mentioned before, everybody will have their own ideas on
what these new package names should be. We appreciate the feedback
and the suggested names you've provided. In the end, the final decisions
for the new package names came from David and Stephen. We expect a few
more slight tweaks in the new names, but this is close to the final list.

* This bug is to do with renaming the packages. Refactoring of packages
will be done at a later date.

* If you think that any of the package classifications or descriptions are
  incorrect, please file separate bugs.

* SUNWcs and SUNWcsd are not being renamed at this time. See bug #13907.
Even though this has been fixed for the latest version of pkg, older
versions won't know how to handle this.

* SUNWpd is not being renamed at this time. The x86 and SPARC package contents
are very different from each other. See bug #14463.

* SUNWgui-install is not being renamed at this time, to make it easy for
the Live CD to "just work" without requiring any changes to their XML
files. No changes should be needed to the AI XML files either at this time.
(see bug #13446 and bug #13447 for followup work that will need to be
   done at some time).

* I'm in the process of creating a couple of internal IPS repos with all
  these packages in:

  http://stard.sfbay:26186 - x86
  http://sunk.sfbay:26186 - SPARC

GUI folks, you should do your name algorithm testing based on these
packages (bug #9437). I'll send you an email when all the packages
  have been imported.

There might be a few small final changes, but these names are good
enough for you to start testing with. It would be helpful if you could
also do an Update with the GUI package manager and the Update Manager
using these two repos, after testing your changes, to make sure that
  everything works.

Note that you shouldn't have to change any package names in the various
GUI package manager source files, unless you are uninstalling packages
(bug #13994). Old package names will depend on new package names.

* This webrev has had a pre-review. From this, the following changes are
going to be made in the next version of the webrev:

  - The "renamed 133" lines in the old IPS package definitions, are going
to be just after the "consolidation" line, rather than just before the
    "end package" line.

  - Editable files that start with one of:
            etc/security/auth_attr.d/
            etc/security/exec_attr.d/
            etc/security/prof_attr.d/
            etc/user_attr.d/
will not generate original_name chattr lines.

  - There are some chattr original_names lines in the package definition
files that are the same for both x86 and SPARC. These need to be
    replaced with a single entry.

Thanks.
