desktop:cd-ripping:sound-juicer:
- /etc/security/exec_attr isn't delivered in SUNWgnome-cd; a fragment of
exec_attr is delivered in /etc/security/exec_attr.d/SUNWgnome-cd. I'm
not sure what file this is supposed to be chattr'ing. Is this what you
meant by "editable files that start with one of .... will not generate
original_name chattr lines"?
In general, are these files going to be renamed? There are also a
handful of other files and directories in the filesystem which are
named after the packages that deliver them (see /usr/share/doc for the
vast majority of them). I assume these won't now but will eventually
be renamed?
library:gnome:gnome-vfs:
- Not this bug, but clearly there's an architectural issue here. These
files really shouldn't be editable
system:kernel:platform:
- amd-ucode.bin and intel-ucode.txt are, IIRC, auto-updated, which means
that we may not need to preserve these across the rename, because
they'll just be downloaded later on. But I could be wrong here; anyone
else know?
Thanks,
Danek
