Hello,

thanks for the reply. I thought on this, but I am searching for a more clean way to implement a real environment. If the laser model changes in the future, I have to change it again for my behavior. I wanted to avoid this issue.

Betreff: Re: [PlayerStage-Gazebo] More reality with trees and bushes ornoise? (Sven Lange)

A quick hack would be to modify the laser model and replace the output of the laser values with += random.

I am trying to get a more realistic world in Gazebo. My goal is to create
tree or bushes like objects. It doesn't have to be with a real surface, but
the laser scanner should return noisy values. My first thought was to create
a terrain with an angle of 90 degrees, but against the documentation, the
<rpy> parameter hasn't any effect to the terrain object.

Are there other possibilities like creating a simple solid with a noisy
surface, so that the Rays become also noisy near the object?

Has anyone a solution or an idea for such a problem?

Thanks for your help
Sven
