Hi all,

The gripper lift doesn't seem to be working with cvs gazebo and player 
2.0.2... it will go up, but won't come back down (ie. setGrip( GRIPdown) 
doesn't have any effect).

Looking at the code, the cause of the problem seems to be this line in 
server/models/Pioneer2Gripper.cc:

this->liftMinPosLimit = 0.4;

This seems odd to me because

this->liftHeight = 0.09;
this->liftMaxPosLimit = this->liftHeight;

So the above liftMinPosLimit seems to suggest that the minimum lift 
position is higher that the liftHeight/ max lift position (unless I'm 
mistaken the lift axis is pointing upwards). This means the robot always 
thinks the gripper is already in the down position.

Sure enough, replacing the above line with:

this->liftMinPosLimit = 0;

seems to make the gripper lift work OK. I'm not particularly familiar 
with the gripper code so if someone else can verify this is correct and 
commit it to cvs at some stage that would be great.
