Hi all, > :-( _IMHO_ the new setup dialog are useless.
:-) this is Palm's default dialog - if I have the time, I'll change it, but until now it was more the target to get rid of the former dialog. > For example Setting it to > "Handheld overwrite desktop" make no sense. The only useful > setting are is to setup this to "do nothing", and Checkbox in > the old Dialog would do the same. I prefer here also some > checkboxes to controo the sync of the DBs. But sure this are > IMHO. My intention was to make it most easy for beginners and non-techies, I've also got no problem to change the DB selection in the conduit cfg dialog. But a non-tech person is not even aware that they can change things there, and on XP systems Hotsync might even not be visible (because tray icons the user doesn't click on are hidden after some time). So the idea was to provide a link in the Palm Desktop the user can click on and change stuff. > Is it possible that it create also the Icons so that new created DBs > do also work in the old way? > > Or you may call "<PLUCKERDIR>\DBTool.exe ADD" to create > new DBs. Of course, good idea - right now I'd just copy the template dir. But that DBTool never added a new Icon for my DB's? > This do not work for me. OK, I think we got to figure out how to integrate properly - this worked for me, but probably causes problems here and there. Maybe we could use the sources of this Conduit Installer suggested earlier to figure out how to write a proper installation routine just for this? > I have updated the installer, you find them at: Thanks a lot!!
