Just a warning about an application called MovieMobile that is
distributed at http://www.mercuryguide.com/dn/dnews.html

That application has (deliberately) been given the same creator ID
as the Plucker viewer (i.e. 'Plkr'), so if you install it at the
same time you have Plucker installed it will "hide" the Plucker
viewer and also make it impossible to launch any launchable Plucker
documents, i.e. it will more or less "destroy" your Plucker
installation.

Also, if you try to remove MovieMobile, both the Plucker viewer and
all Plucker documents that aren't of the launchable type will also
be removed.

Since this company did know about us long before they created this
application, one can only wonder if this is done out of malice or if
they are just incompetent. I have contacted them twice asking them to
change the creator ID of their application, but they have completely
ignored me. You can draw your own conclusions from that...

BTW, to avoid this mess and still use the movie info (only useful if
you live in the Salt Lake City area, though), you can choose to only
install the Movies-Content.pdb file. It is a Plucker document and can
be read using our viewer.

/Mike
