That you have a problem with setting up the cygwin tools et.al. is
not a *Plucker* problem.

I think you have misunderstood what Free Software is all about. If
something is "missing", then you fix it and share you changes so that
no one else has to run into the same problems. What you don't do is
gripe about it.

It's not our problem that you decided to use an OS that *doesn't*
come loaded with whatever development tool/language you can ask
for (and for free:)

And that is bad?!?

C not C++.

This project started as an AvantGo replacement for Linux users, so it
shouldn't really be such a big surprise that it works best when you
use Linux for your development. Linux/Unix is a superior system for
development (IMO). It's not a requirement, though. Robert has helped
out with viewer development, too, and he (I think) is using Windows.

I don't know; did you try to make a point in this ramble or where you
just complaining that we don't cater enough for Windows developers ;-)

Take this in whatever way you like, but I'm a bit tired of all these
Windows cry babies complaining how bad we are for not making it "easy"
for them to use/build Plucker. If there is a problem, then *you* fix
it (without breaking it for the existing users/developers) and let us
know how we can improve the project for *all* users/developers.

/Mike
