I have the Plucker 1.8 viewer installed on a Palm Tungsten E, with Plucker docs in /Palm/Programs/Plucker on a 256MB SD card. Plucker is set to manually refresh.
The Linux Documentation Project has all of the Linux HOWTOs available in Plucker format from http://ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/docs/LDP/pluckerdb/ . I grabbed the lot, and put them on the SD card using a USB card reader, dropping the files into the directory on the card. After I re-inserted the card, I invoked Plucker, and told it to refresh the document list. The Linux HOWTOs are created with a category of LDP already applied to the documents, so a new category of LDP appeared in the Library form, and opening it revealed all of the Linux HOWTOs. That's fine. What's curious is that entries for all of the HOWTOs *also* appear in the Unfiled category. Recategorizing them to LDP gets them out of Unfiled. What I don't understand is why they appeared there in the first place, since they were already categorized when created. I've created Plucker docs on the PC, put them on the card, and had them show in the category I assigned without also appearing in Unfiled. (Wish list: it would be nice if there were a way of marking a set of Plucker docs and moving them all to the selected category, rather than doing things one-by-one. There are a *lot* of Linux HOWTO docs...) Related question: what happens if you get Plucker docs pre-categorized, the category used is one you don't have, and all category slots are already assigned to something else? I assume the documents wind up in Unfiled? Thanks in advance. ______ Dennis _______________________________________________ plucker-dev mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.rubberchicken.org/mailman/listinfo/plucker-dev
