I assume you mean in the viewer itself: the only time an icon itself
would be 'selected' or highlighted is when you go back to the doc list
after viewing a document. I would have thought that this was merely
cosmetic and didn't really serve much functional purpose.

The icon itself was changed to match more closely with other palm
apps, UI wise. Technically speaking, before the latest beta the icon
was an image (which was fine, but was one extra thing to load), now
its a character (which is better, because it's one less thing to have
in memory:).. When an icon is selected, what's actually happening is
that the little area where the icon is drawn has its pixel's inverted.
The whole thing SHOULD still look different from any unselected one,
but the image itself should still be the same.

On some devices (pre 3.5, trgpro, etc), the icon showed up as an odd
square, or nothing at all. That has been fixed in the cvs and should
be in the next beta.

It isn't necessary when installing a new beta, simply because as long
as the format is the same, it should be readable. If something changed
in the format in a later version, the PlkrDocList will automagically
be deleted and re-created, unbeknownest or unbecarenst to the user.

With the sony betas I made a while ago, it was required simply becuase
of the possibility of a conflict with the main trunk plucker installed
with a sony branch plucker. Mistake on my part.

The sony branch has since been depreciated in lieu of the hires
branch, which I would say that anyone running Plucker-sony should
delete it (safe to do using palm's native delete program) and download
the a hires version from

http://www.array.org/~adamm/plucker/

On a side note, the hires branch does contain jogdial support, so
anyone with a sony device without hires, but with a jogdial can use
the hires prc with no problems.
