I run Win2K Pro SP1.  I haven't tried the latest desktop betas yet, and I'll
see what happens here.

But one question does arise: does _all_ progress stop, or do things continue
in the background but the progress display simply isn't updated?  If things
seem to have stopped, and you move the mouse around, does the progress
indicator suddenly jump ahead by a chunk, or does it resume from where it
left off at the same rate of speed?
