A Plucker conversion is failing ... please can someone tell me where to begin finding
a cure?
I downloaded the text of Dubliners from Proj Gutenberg, pulled it into MS Word, and
wrote it out as
HTML. I also added links from the TOC to the "chapter" headings.
In Windows Explorer I right-click on the Dubliners.htm document and choose "Convert to
Plucker", but
it fails with the error message (full screen dump below):
>RuntimeError: The collection process failed to generate a 'home' document
The same problem happens with an attempted conversion of Just So Stories.
The version of plucker desktop I've got is 1.2.0.2 dated Sep 28 2002. I successfully
converted
"Maximum RPM" and some of the Perl Bookshelf ok, so Plucker is probably installed ok
and the problem
must be in my conversion from .TXT to .HTM ... the screen dump says there's an
unexpected character,
but needless to say, neither IE nor Word think so.
Any advice on how to pin down and eliminate the cause will be appreciated!
