Do they really all have to be removed?  If so, then clearly I need some other way of going from text to html.  How do other people do this?  What's the best/simplest way to get from Project Gutenberg to Plucker?

Many thanks again

Hi Alan,

What I do with the Project Gutenberg text; is "import"
it into my favorite word processor, then "export" it out
into an htm file. Then I "cut" and "paste" each chapter
(within this htm file) and create a new htm file.
Giving each new htm file a naming sequence;

example - title01.htm, title02.htm, title03.htm etc...

Then I create a "title / main page" htm file that links to
each chapter / section of the Project Gutenberg text.

You can use the [Detail] feature in the Plucker Viewer
to see how some Plucker eBooks are form locally; that is
if the creator didn't put a block on it ;-)
