The inadequacies of other lists are not our problem.

What non-standard headers do you see there that the list injects?

Why consume the valuable space in the subject line, when it is
already clearly denoted in the headers, where is is supposed to be.

Gas or water on those flames, it's your choice, and you chose gas.

"considerably more resources"?
Parsing the subject properly (with the proper regex) from a message
is much more difficult than parsing the headers themselves, in filtering
rules.
Oh wait, you're using Outlook Express.. please disregard that, it's
infinately more difficult to do anything using that legacy platform than on
POSIX-compliant platforms.
Here's a hint from my active procmail rc.folders file:
:0:
* ^To:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
"palm/plucker/plucker-dev-CURRENT"
:0:
* ^To:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
"palm/plucker/plucker-list-CURRENT"
That sorts the incoming messages into those folders when received.
My mail client (pine) colorizes and threads them as they sit in my existing
inboxes, with a simple one-line rule in .pinerc, configured from the pine
interface itself.
I'm sure a commercially supported product like Outlook Express does
the same.

Good, less traffic is less traffic to filter.
