Easiest way.
Switch to a RedHat Distro.
I especially find Mandrake 6.1 and 7.0 very easy
and more polished than Redhat with the same internal
structure.
For easy e-mail use COMMUNIGATE PRO. (www.stalker.com)
It is free to use forever.
It is true blue webmail without the hassle.
I use it internally in my company.
If you do send mails externally u will get a 1st line
that says the mail was sent using communigate pro.
That is until you pay for it. But at leaIPdfst it
works.
In the future you should get a permanent connection.
Non-dedicated lines are a big hassle, a kludge.
Problem too with dynamic IP Addresses.
DNS, use a caching DNS server. Simple.
Yes squid works with IP Masq.
Drop Domino. You said you didn't have the time right?
Budget too, unless you'll pirate something.
Time to Setup:
Mandrake 6.1 - 20 minutes
DNS Caching Server - 10 minuts
Squid - 15 minutes
Communigate Pro - 5 minutes
Add more users - 1 minute per user
That's the above if I were to do it.
