Reiserfs _can_ be used in production. It's been in SuSE for a long while now,
and just recently introduced in Mandrake 71. It's not in the mainstream kernel
yet because Linus and Alan want to standardize a layer for journalling first
before actually incorporating the many different journalling file systems
under development - reiserfs, ext3, ibm jfs, and the SGI xfs.
