I have been intrigued, at the least, by LaTeX since I read about it from
Linux Undercover. Hopefully I will find the chance to put it to use
sometime soon. For now I need to find replacements for Microsoft Office.
Not for myself, but more for the office. With luck and constant persuasion
I can get permission to slowly move the system from Windows to Linux,
function by function. E-mail is already done (no need for Eudora, got the
system on IMP which is basically platform independent). Soon I will check
out CorelDRAW, but StarOffice is far from what I'd call a decent
alternative to Microsoft Office. Sa totoo lang mas gusto ko pa ang
Microsoft Office kaysa sa kanya. It's only strong points are that it's
free and that it runs on Linux.
While we're on the talk of the LaTeX mindset, would have any
recommendations for no-nonsense spreadsheet applications? Or am I pushing
it too far? Hehehe. :-)
