I'm still wishing that PC's can be as simple to use as TV remote
controls (then again I still find it complicated)... or better yet...

there's a pernicious attitude that if something's complicated, the cognescenti who can work that something, are somehow elite.
i think the whole "don't take away my configurability" rant is an offshoot of this attitude.
the fact is, nobody on this list can claim to know what 99.9% of the population needs or wants. the mere fact you are here and reading this mail places you in that 0.01% which is technically aware.
