Hi fooler,
What would I circumvent? Isn't that how it's suppose to work? All connections initiated at the WAN side going to ports 80,25,110 must be forwarded to a certain PC inside the LAN.

Now what I don't understand is that, all those connections initiated within the LAN could not get through the router/modem.

But thanks anyways.

your adsl modem have two interfaces.. the wan side and the lan side.. your port forwarding was binded to the wan side of the interface.. try to figure it out how to circumvent that by consulting your modem's manual...
