One word: VAPORWARE Why pine for the days that Microsoft will port MS Office to Linux when you can use OpenOffice?
I believe self-respecting, freedom loving, cost-conscious and ethically upright FOSS advocates and computer users would and should practice what they preach when all they have to do is use the PC for word processing, spreadsheet and presentations.
