MMS is just an email encasulated in MMS headers, attachments such
mobiles contents are handled the basically as multipart message
attachment like in emails; therefore technically you can also call your
email as MMS.
mms address can be either E.164 phone number or RFC 2822 e-mail address...
mms is encapsulated to MIME once sent to an email-address... once replied..
it will decapsulated and converted to mms format.... therefore... mms is not
an email....
So im scratching me head why you would send an SMS and need to build
another appliance to route it to email rather than use MMS directly
(except
ofourse you phone doesnt have MMS capability then its time to buy a new
phone).
economics as what the poster really wanted to do (she wanted a cheap
solution) :-> sending sms is cheaper than mms....
