Let's see if I can attempt to clear things up. Let's say I write a
program in Visual BASIC or better (or worse? ) Visual

FoxPro. I release the code under an FSF- or OSI-endorsed Free/Open
Source license. While everyone *is* free to read and in theory modify
the code, in practice you'd need Visual BASIC or VFP respectively --
neither of which is FOSS. And I don't know of any FOSS applications or
SourceForge projects that can handle VB or VFP projects.
