Welcome to the Philippine Linux Users Group Mailing List!

I'm developing software for a citizens' election tally in 2007. The
platform is Debian Sarge, MySQL, python and gnokii. We are still
awaiting our direct connection with the cellphone providers.

Nice project. :-)

We've been testing the software since May this year, and I am hoping
many more would help test the program (and also register as a
volunteer). I have in fact raised with a PLUG director the possibility
of partnership with my group.

I'm just curious, who is this alleged PLUG director? I don't remember
the board members introducing ourselves as directors...

My group is called Halalang Marangal (HALAL). Our English name is
Network of Citizens for Honest Elections and Truthful Statistics. Its
convenors are former Senator Wigberto Tanada, General Francisco Gudani
(ret.), COMELEC commissioner Mehol Sadain (ret.), former President Sr.
Mary John Manansan of St. Scholastica's College, 2004 TOYM awardee Atty.
Ma. Paz Luna, PRRM senior VP Isagani Serrano, and myself.

So what is your aim again, and what do you require from PLUG? Are you
something like a NAMFREL look-alike, or is your organization a
for-profit entity?
