You have to build the binary executables from the source code. I would normally do this as follows:
cd /home/ins gzip -dc firestarter-1.0.3.tar.gz | tar xvf - cd firestarter-1.0.3 ./configure --prefix=/usr make su make install This will place the executable in /usr/bin, where it can be used by all.
