I believe you'll need to have your DHCP server update for DNS server on the
proper entries.

Subject: [plug] Bind DNS not caching?
Good day to all,
I'm currently working on an name server for our office & i chosen Fedora
Core 6 to run the box. Although right now I've run out of ideas & tired
of reading & browsing for help on the net & documentation...
I've already installed bind 9.3.4, bind-utils, bind-libs, bind-chroot,
caching-nameserver.
I was also able to configure the following:
* /etc/resolv.conf (for list of nameservers),
* /var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf (configuration of named service)
* /var/named/chroot/var/named/zonefiles ( for the forward & reverse
lookup)
I was able to successfully run the service & even check if it could
resolve the hostnames with IP addresses... My only problem is i was it
can only resolve the names & ips that are the servers listed on the
zonefile, i was hoping that the name server could also cache & resolve
hostnames / ip addresses of the clients workstations that is currently
present on the local network.
Feeling ko, i'm only missing one or two options on the named.conf but
i've spend the whole afternoon but i still can find it.
Thanks for the help. =)
