I have two very important questions for the PLUG board, and for the general
membership of PLUG:

(1) Should we not be involved in the process of computerization of Philippine
elections? This may be a long-term project (not for May 2007), but I believe
that we are quite competent to advise COMELEC on how to go about computerizing
the entire election process, from casting of ballots, to canvassing, to
transmission of data to the election centers.

(2) Should we not get involved in the "Quick Count" efforts for the May 2007
elections? The PPCRV (Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting) and
other non-government organizations are spearheading the "quick count" efforts.
