I was being facetious when I mentioned Perl.

Oracle's Grid Control is Perl-based as well. My statement was more of,
big companies want other big companies to support them and hold their
hands, not some ragged hacker.  :)

So yes, it's all about security, and not the firewall kind.

Its not the language, MS Windows is built using PEAL and i wouldnt be
surprised if most high-level languages compilers uses PERL since it
has a great parsing parsing engine.
